About Us

Who is FootHemp?

FootHemp was born from three co-founders with a combined experience of 75 years in the shoe industry. With offices in Alicante, Spain and Portland, Oregon we formed the idea that we can make great footwear products and accessories leveraging all the benefits of hemp.

Surrounded by all things hemp in Alicante it was natural to look back in history and see how amazing hemp was to our ancestors but even more useful today with climate change and wasteful water consumption.

We are on a mission to provide great design, quality and good for the planet footwear products.  We have much more to come!

Anthony Dean

From Mattel Toys to Nike, Brooks, Apple and Sketchers, Anthony, or Tony, is a world class product engineer. He brings a depth of experience in commercial footwear and has a deep passion for his new venture with his two longtime friends and cofounders, Vincent and David. 

Vicente Arellano Zaragoza

One half of the brother team, Vicente brings the creative side of the duo. He has designed and developed at some of the world's top brands including Zara, Bebe, H&M and SHOOZLAB. Vicente brings the design experience and it shows in the fashion forward look and feel of FootHemp's new sustainable hemp footwear line.

David Arellano

David brings the business mindset and acumen as his brother's second half. The two are both 4th Generation Shoemakers and joke regularly about being born on a footwear production line. David has similar company experience having worked in the business development areas within Zara and H&M. He is thrilled and proud of the opportunity to market sustainably made hemp shoes from Alicante, Spain, and to work side by side with his brother and best friend again.
